Krabi and Hong Islands – something new, something different
Here we were just the 2 of us again! Sad? Happy? Both and much more multiple and contradictory feelings! We decided that we needed something new, something different…
And that is how we found ourselves at our first yoga and meditation class in Krabi: two European tourists that have never had any contact with this practice, surrounded only by regular Thai practitioners. It was an amazing experience, both difficult and enriching and we went out with a big smile on our faces. We took a second class as well and had dinner with the teacher and her husband afterwards: ginger tea soup with all kind of herbs and fruits. Absolutely delicious!
As a physical challenge to ourselves and also to enjoy the beautiful view over Krabi province, we climbed the 1 238 steps to the top of the Tiger Cave Temple. Yes, we did it and it felt so good to go beyond what I thought my limits were!
During our last days in Krabi, we took a boat and visited the national park of the Hong Islands: spectacular mountains in the water (resembling the Ha Long Bay in Vietnam), white-sand beaches, clear water, beautiful corals and colored fish. This coast of Thailand is absolutely gorgeous!
