Back to the good life in Napa & Sonoma’s vineries
How could we be in California without visiting its wineries and tasting its wines? We couldn’t! If you know The Bear and The Zeb, with their “Frenchie” background, you know they loooove good wines!
So a road trip to Napa & Sonoma Valleys was absolutely mandatory! The weather was great and the landscapes comparable with the beautiful Toscana. We visited several wineries, but we really appreciated 2 of them. Raymond – owned by Jean-Charles Boisset, a French guy who owns 22 vineyards around the world – is wonderfully decorated, with different thematic rooms in which you can either relax with a good wine, have a party or learn about the wine making process: from soil information, to weather or aromas. Castillo di Amorosa, owned obviously by an Italian, is a real masterpiece that transports you to medieval Italy. Their wine can only be bought at the castle and cannot be found in restaurants or bottle shops. Really good wine! We especially enjoyed the red Cabernet Sauvignon.
It was a great day and I am thankful that after the Asian months, the “wine” part of our journey is just about to start!
