Whales and boobies
Do you remember that some time ago I discovered my favorite fish? It was during one of the diving sessions in Thailand I guess and it is called porcupine. The time for a favorite bird has come!!! I discovered it on Isla de la Plata, during a one day trip with the initial objective to see whales. Its name is as funny as it looks like: blue-footed boobie – a strange mix of penguin and duck having big blue feet…gorgeous!!! We’ve seen some other birds as well during the trip: frigates, waved albatrosses, Nazca boobies and tropicbirds. And of course we’ve seen whales swimming in the ocean; they are sooooo big!
We started the trip from Montanita where we’ve spent 2 days, but there isn’t actually too much to say about it. Except for some nice live music at night, there is nothing else to do: the beach is quite dirty, the water is cold, the food not too tasty and the quality of service very low.
But we’ve seen whales!!! And I discovered the boobies!!! Yuhuuuuu!
